I'm a teacher and when I bought my home it was definitely only temporary, that's why I decided to go with a cheaper teaser loan. But I ended up needing to stay, and I got stuck with my house, I tried to sell it for months before the loan was about to reset to a higher monthly. I just couldn't sell it!
